American Family offers cheaper car insurance than Allstate no matter what type of driving record you have.

If you get a speeding ticket while with American Family or Allstate, expect your rates to increase between 12 and 17 percent. If you cause an accident, your rates will increase between 31 and 38 percent.

DUIs are a different story.
